In times of emotional development we often feel like things are not happening fast enough and/or the universe does not have our back. And yet it is often in these cases that there is a need for an adjustment in view, in perspective, and/or in how we are perceiving things. Challenges force us to make changes and grow and truly understand what it is that is meant for us to continue to grow into. Other changes are a relief in allowing us to see that there is another way to be participating in things. It is important to be resilient in these times of change, in maturing, in living more fully up to our potential and yet it can be hard giving up the dreams we once held to be true and allowing a truer pursuit to grow in our hearts and minds.
So how do we stay centered and grounded during these challenging times? Appreciation. It is such a focus on what is good that allows flow to return in the challenging areas of our lives. How do you focus on appreciation?
-Focus on what is working - even in challenging times there are some areas of our lives or our business which is working. Shift your attention to those areas as you develop a strategy or plan to deal with the challenging areas. If you can shift your attention your mind can relax and come up with better solutions.
-Be grateful - focus on gratitude and you will see more of what you are grateful for emerge.
-Lean into the people who are supportive of you - the more that you reframe the challenge and ask for support then you can truly open up a heart and mind space aligned to growth.
How can you focus on appreciation during tough times that you are facing? What is one thing you can be grateful for?
